• 'U' should be suitable for children over the age of 4. 
• 'U' films should be be set with a positive moral framework and should provide reassuring counterbalances to horror, threat and violence. 
• No discriminatory language or behaviour unless clearly disapproved of.   
• No references to illegal drug or drugs misuse unless it is showing a clear educational message to children. 
• Any scary sequences should be mild and should have a positive outcome.    
• No potential dangerous behaviour which young children are likely to copy. 
• No reference to the misuse of weapons. 
• Occasional natural nudity, no sexual content. 
• Mild sexual references, for example kissing.
• Mild violence only. Occasional mild threat or menace only.
